Morocco imports significant volumes of polyethylene, polypropylene, propylene copolymers, polystyrene, PVC and PET. In 2013, Morocco imported 121,000 tons of L/LLDPE, 107,000 tons of HDPE, 81,000 tons of polypropylene homopolymer, 17,000 tons of propylene copolymers, 19,000 tons of general purpose polystyrene, 59,000 tons of uncompounded PVC and 54,000 tons of PET.

Saudi Arabia was the top supplier of PE and PP, including copolymers, Spain of general purpose polystyrene and PVC, and UAE of PET.
