As US exports of recycle polyethylene and PET dropped to record low levels in October, 2017, US imports jumped, mainly on higher volumes from Canada and Mexico.

US imports of R-PE set a new monthly record of 7,200 tons in October, the YTD volume of 56,000 tons down 6%.

US imports of R-PET in October, 11,600 tons, were close to the record. Volume YTD of 98,000 tons was down 2%.
