Both China’s imports of ethylene monomer and propylene monomer soared to new highs in December 2016.

Ethylene imports in 2016 totaled 1.65 million tons, up 9% from 2015, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Italy and United States top sources.

Propylene imports were 2.9 million tons, up 5%, sourced primarily from South Korea, Taiwan and Japan.
