Russia exported over 50,000 tons of LDPE through March, 2012, up 29%; imports were minor. Russia’s imports of  HDPE and LLDPE, however, were up substantially.

Higher shipments to China, Ukraine, Germany and several other destinations accounted for the sizable increase in Russia’s LDPE exports March 2012 YTD.

Russia’s imports of HDPE totaled 84,000 tons through March, up 19%  on higher volumes from the Ukraine, several Western and Eastern European countries, and also Qatar and Iran. Imports of LLDPE rose 28%, to 32,000 tons, Poland, South Korea, Belgium and Qatar among the leading suppliers with YTD gains.
