US exported nearly 900,000 tons of styrene through June, up 36%. Much higher shipments to China, along with gains to Mexico, Brazil and other destinations, were behind the surge. US exported 225,000 tons of polycarbonates YTD up 16%, China, Mexico and Singapore major growth destinations.

Exports of LDPE, LLDPE, propylene copolymers, EDC, MEG and PET were up 4%-9% in the first half of the year. Mexico was a key growth destination for each of the polymers. China was the top volume destination for EDC and MEG.
