Startup of new capacity in Singapore has resulted in much lower PE imports from Saudi Arabia.

Singapore’s imports of LLDPE from Saudi Arabia were down 58% through June, 2013; imports of HDPE were down 29%. Singapore’s imports of these polymers from the United Arab Emirates and the United States also were down.
