Due to the on-going 20th CPC National Congress in Beijing, release of trade and other statistics is delayed, but trading partner statistics give an advance view.

The National Congress ends on October 22 but the exact date of release of statistics has not been announced.

September export statistics are available from South Korea and Singapore, two important exporters of ethylene polymers to China. These show declining volumes early in the year and some increase in shipments to China from about May.

Year to date through August, China reported a total of 10.5 million tons of ethylene polymer imports from all sources, down 12%.
