Jordan is a significant importer of polyethylene, polypropylene, general purpose polystyrene, PVC and PET. In 2013, Jordan imported 75,000 tons of L/LLDPE, 64,000 tons of HDPE, 46,000 tons of polypropylene homopolymer, 12,000 tons of general purpose PS, 37,000 tons of uncompounded PVC and 14,000 tons of PET.

Saudi Arabia was the top supplier of polyolefins, Taiwan of PS, Saudi Arabia and the US of PVC, and China of PET.
