These are Turkey’s largest volume polymer imports June 2012 YTD:  250,000 tons of propylene copolymers, up 9%; 360,000 tons of HDPE, up 2%; 400,000 tons of uncompounded PVC, down 7%; and, 612,000 tons of polypropylene homopolymer, up 14%.

Saudi Arabia was a leading supplier of each of the polyolefins, noting also sizable volumes of polypropylene from Egypt, HDPE from Iran and India, and propylene copolymers from South Korea. The United States was, by far, the largest source for PVC, followed by France, Mexico and U.K., among others.
