Ghana imports significant volumes of polyethylene, polypropylene and PVC.

In 2013, Ghana imported 33,000 tons of L/LLDPE, 70,000 tons of HDPE, 18,000 tons of PP homopolymer, 10,000 tons of propylene copolymers, and 24,000 tons of uncompounded PVC.

Saudi Arabia was the top supplier for L/LLDPE, HDPE and PP; South Korea for propylene copolymers, and the United States for PVC.
