The United States reported exports in 2016 to Africa of 30,000 tons of LDPE/LLDPE, down 14%, and 145,000 tons of HDPE, up 98%.

Based on preliminary data for 2016, imports of LDPE/LLDPE into Africa from other sources included: Middle East, 640,000 tons; Asia-Pacific, 180,000 tons; Western Europe, 115,000 tons.

Africa’s HDPE import sources in 2016 included: Middle East, 855,000 tons; Asia-Pacific, 230,000 tons; Western Europe, 100,000 tons.
