Monthly LPG volume was relatively steady from April although down sharply from the first quarter.

LPG exports reported by Iran totaled 3.0 million tons through August, down 28% from August 2025 YTD. Roughly 1 million tons were exported between April and August.

China, although accounting for 80% of Iran’s YTD LPG export total, did not report any LPG imports from Iran through August (below). As noted in Thomson Reuters, and further clarified in ITP’s blog on Iran’s polyethylene shipments, trans-shipments through other Middle East countries play a key role in Iranian exports. (Note: UAE, Oman and Kuwait, among others, do not publish trade statistics.)
