PET and PVC are China’s largest commodity polymer exports but shipments of both were down substantially in 2015 versus 2014.

Exports of bottle-grade PET fell 11%, to 1.9 million tons, with sharply lower shipments to Russia, the United States and Ukraine important factors in the decline.

An even steeper drop was evident on China’s exports of uncompounded PVC. These fell 30%, to 782,000 tons, with much lower volumes to India and Russia key factors.
