Tight Supplies of PVC Lead to Record Prices on US Exports

The average price on US exports of PVC has doubled between June 2020 and January 2021 and further increases are expected in the wake of weather-related outages in February.

The average US export price of uncompounded PVC in January 2021 shot to $1257/ton, double what it was in June. Supplies were limited and shipments in January of 207,000 tons were down 14% from the prior January.
