The United States reported exports of LDPE/LLDPE in 2016 to Asia-Pacific of 300,000 tons, up 11%, and 260,000 tons of HDPE, up 9%.

Based on preliminary data for 2016, Asia-Pacific also imported over 4.6 million tons of LDPE/LLDPE from the Middle East and 400,000 tons from Western Europe.

Asia-Pacific’s HDPE imports from other sources included: Middle East, over 5.5 million tons; Western Europe, 120,000 tons; Latin America, 140,000 tons.
