China’s imports of ethylene polymers dropped from a record high of 2.1 million tons in June to 1.8 million tons in August. Imports of propylene polymers fell from 840,000 tons in June, another record, to 580,000 tons. Despite the declines, imports YTD are up substantially for both polymer groups.

US Exports of LNG to Rise
If a trade accord between the US and the EU is finalized and the US puts in place more export terminals, LNG exports from the US will rise. Through May 2018, the US exported a total of LNG totaled 9.0 million tons, up 61% from the same period in 2017. Exports have been climbing since early 2016. LNG Global Trade up 11% Through July
The volume of liquefied natural gas traded globally through July 2017 exceeded 150 million tons, up 11% from last year, based on latest available trade statistics.
